If a channel admin has enabled sharing videos publicly, you can grab a video's link and send it to anyone on the web who needs to view it.

To enable sharing for one of your videos, use the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the video that you want to share.

  2. Click the Share button below the video player.

  3. In the pop-up window, change Link access setting to Anyone with the link can view, then you can Copy link to share the video with others.

The video will now be accessible to anyone on the web with the link.

You can also allow viewers to see comments by enabling the Show comments to external viewers checkbox.

Admin: Configuring the link sharing settings

If you’re an Admin, you can control who can enable sharing links:

  1. Click on the Admin console link at the bottom of the left-hand navigation.

  2. Click on the Permission Settings link in the left-hand navigation.

  3. Under the Sharing videos publicly heading, select the option you see fit to enable sharing videos publicly on your channel.

You’ll want to make sure that the video you want to share to the web has public access enabled in the video details, which you can do using the steps listed above.

  4. Click Save changes to save your settings.

Optionally, you can also restrict the ability to share links to the web to channel admins only.
